Eclipson model S with 1800mm wingspan is a high performance slope soarer. Aerodynamic efficiency has been the main goal of this project since the conceptual phase. With a theoretical maximum lift to drag ratio of 23 to 1 and minimum sink rate of 0,38 m/s this model is simply the most efficient we have designed so far. In case you wanna enjoy this model in the slope the use of tough PLAmaterial with flaps is without a doudt the best option thanks to his better impact resistance, better aerodynamic performances at higher speeds and greater stability under strong wind conditions. Nevertheless flying speeds are slower making the model more adequate for thermal flying or even as a trainer for less experienced pilots.
